Are you a risk-taker?
For the most part, yes. I've always like the feel of the adrenalin rushing through my veins, even as a child (although not knowing what it was at that time). Whether it was driving Grandpa's tractor at age 11, climbing on the roof of the back shed from the bedroom window above to lie under the stars and bright moon to write poetry at my grandparents in the summer, climbing trees, chasing a wayward baseball into the bull's pasture while wearing a red jacket (yes, I could run fast, too), playing in big music concerts, getting on the back of motorcycles (and eventually riding them on my own), climbing into a half wrecked car at a "crash-up derby" at age 20, or racing around a track in a beat-up '56 Chevy - these are just a few of my younger encounters with what most people considered "risky" for a girl or young woman. I was a Tom-boy!!! Well, most of the time.
Then, as I started into my early 30's, I took the risk that most people would have run from, to involve myself with "other-worldly" entities and allow them to use my voice and body to communicate with the outer world.
Now, approaching 60 (yeah, I won't post it in my profile, but I'll let is slip here {grin}), I'm adventurous enough to be stepping into a new career - and going for the gusto of it to not only do it - but hopefully sometime in the next 8 months to be teaching it. When most people are considering their retirement options, I'm taking the risk to have the life I've always wanted to have and do the things I've always dreamed of doing (at least since I realized I had the option to dream about it, back in my early 30's). I'm also taking the risk to continue my channeling, and do it on a much more public stage than I have ever done in the past.
I cannot remember the exact quote, but I think a women named Irma (?) said it - but I'll paraphrase it in my own way -- To ride into heaven on a full-throttled Harley with a bunch of cops on my tail, face ablaze with eye-shadow, chocolate dripping from my lips, and a bottle of good champagne in my nap-sack, ready to uncork as I greet The Herald and any of my family who dared to show up. Until then, though, I still want to live, and intend to live, full throttle out into the world - taking those risks where even angels sometimes dare to tread! I just cannot even imagine doing it "dull and boring" now.

Help

Awesome Gem…!!! We are only as old as we feel…so you and I are babes in the woods!
love, Aley
Bravo, Gem!!!! Good luck with the new career.
“To ride into heaven on a full throttled Harley with a bunch of cops on my tail”…
YEAH!! What a way to ride on…:-D
Thank you Aley, C.G., and Deborah -
I greatly appreciate that you all took the time to read my blog post - and felt the energy of it.
I'm hoping someday (sooner than later) that I actually have both the physical strength and stamina and the money to find that special Harley. My motorcyle riding days were brief, although even 15 years ago when my son had his Goldwing, he would take me for a spin occasionally. He's actually getting a Harley himself soon - his wife finally consented… LOL!!! So maybe he'll take me out again with him on it. Lucky for my daughter, he actually let her go for a “test” spin on it (she has kept her motorcyle driving permit all these years!) - yeah - we're all “BIKER'S”!!! It's in our blood, I think.
