What will you never forget again?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 02, 2007:
I will never forget to remember just how precious life is, even my own. That's a biggy for me, because I have been less than careful with mine at times, even considering that just ending it would be better than struggling with what I had on my plate. (We're talking in the past, not recently BTW).
Yesterday afternoon I had a client whose son committed suicide earlier this year. He is just so devasted by this - blaming himself, looking for reasons he'll probably never find - because his son didn't value what he had - life! I am glad that he came for a session with The Herald, though, because he left with a smile on his face, and his shoulders back. But the pain he had been going through for all of these months is something I now know I wouldn't ever want to put anyone through. There is also some karma attached, even from the spiritual side, of causing someone that much pain.
So, if you ever get that down that you are considering ending it all (which I know is probably not possible for most of the people here anyways), just post an email, or better yet, call me (my phone number is on my web-site), and I will help you find help - it is a huge mistake to think that death will ease your pain - it won't. But living sure could! Being alive and able to still do something positive with the gift of life - that's what I don't ever want to forget!

That is so true: “how precious life is, even my own”. I believe that many people can get caught up in moments of despair, where an individual will think about ending it. I know I have been there before myself- years ago. My plate seemed overflowing; more than I thought I could handle but in the midst of contemplating it, my phone would ring and there would be a reminder that God doesn't give you more than you can handle- he just takes you to the edge in choices you make to show you just how strong you really are and the moment passes. You are right tho about if anyone feels that way they should talk to someone- anyone; because at times all we really need is an ear to listen.
Great example of the pain, unanswered questions by those left behind. That was so great that you and The Herald were able to help his father feel better. Thanks
